There are thousands of people who will definitely do anything just to look specially acceptable by everybody. But not this Sudanese model who had somehow empowered people, women in particular to go and lift theirselves regardless of what is the color of their skin are.
She was dark but definitely beautiful.This 24-year-old South Sudanese model Nyakim Gatwech had been bullied during her early years because of her skin color but had confidently raised herself globaly.
“So I am the ‘Queen of the Dark’ who brings light and love to those around me.”
Just few months ago, Gatwech posted on her instagram account that she was being offered $10,000 to bleach her skin by an Uber driver stressing out that her complexion is not pleasing at all. Though that compliment is somewhat downgrading, Gatwech simply laughed it off.
“I couldn’t even respond I started laughing so hard.”
“Why on earth would I ever bleach this beautiful melanin God [blessed] me with,” she shared on Instagram.
“You won’t believe the kind of questions I get and the kind of looks I get for having this skin.”
Nyakim wanted to tell the world that her looks is a blessing. And she had lived confidently by this. On her Instagram account, she regulary posts images of her with those heartwarming messages depicting sel-love, that every woman is entitled of every opportunity for achievement.
“Stop comparing your skin anyone Change can only happen once you can truthfully look in the mirror and love that Deep Chocolate, Cinnamon, Mocha, or Caramel complexion”.
